The 2012 season will open in the Val di Sole to coincide with the exciting and spectacular “Vroom” week in Madonna di Campiglio, where both Ferrari and Ducati present their new machines for the coming season. Last years highlight was undoubtebly the challenge exhibition race in Fiat 4 x 4’s between the superstars Valentino Rossi and Fernando Alonso on a frozen lake high above this stylish resort, and the 2012 “Vroom” event promises to be just as sensational. Combine all this with some wonderful skiing and a great 4 star hotel then surely this is a week not to be missed.

The Hotel Luna in Folgarida is quite simply one of the best hotels that Max Ski uses. It has a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and is an ideal place to return to after a day on the slopes. The Kokun wellness centre is second to none, with swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and solarium, and it will also gives you the opportunity to get a qualified massage to ease away those aches and pains. With an excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast and 4 course evening meal on offer it is easy to see why we are returning here again. The Hotel is situated just 150 yards from the bottom of the slopes and the main lift.

The skiing is here is also varied and exciting, and the Superskirama Lift Pass, with its modern lift system, covers 340 kilometres of runs. The Local area of Folgarida and Marilleva is pretty and tree lined, with the link to Madonna di Campiglio taking you high into the spectacular Trentino Dolomites. There will be the opportunity to cruise all day along the spectacular blue and red runs, and if it's some excitement you are looking for then a dive down the floodlit black, or a glance at the famous "Schumaker" 85 degree sheer drop will be sure to get the pulses racing. Just a short bus ride away are more resorts covered on your pass, the most famous of which is the high Passo Tonale.

The pleasant resort of Folgarida has a nice and easy atmosphere during the evenings, although there are some lively spots if you need to find them. The chic and elegant resort of Madonna di Campiglio will also be sampled during the week for many of the events that come to town during “Vroom” week“.

The discounted price of this holiday is £635 per adult to the Luna, and includes flights from many regional airports leaving on the 7th January, private coach transfers and half board en suite accommodation in the Hotel Luna. This price also includes free overnight ski storage on the mountain, and free qualified ski guiding around this beautiful area. The child price is £535. Ski hire is £60, and there will be a 20# discount off pre booked lessons at the Folgarida Ski School . The return is on Saturday 14th January.

MAX SKI SNOW-WATCH
Folgarida has 95% of its runs covered by snow canons, and with the majority of the skiing above 1900 metres it has a good snow record. Snow depths for this week last season were 145cms on the upper slopes and 110cms on the lower slopes.
