Spring Skiing Austria

14th MARCH 2009, HOTEL EGGERWIRT, SOLL, AUSTRIA.

The mid March Max Ski trip in 2009 is to the lively Austrian resort of Soll, and its access to the well renownedSoll Austria Ski Welt area, which is Austrias largest linked ski area. There are over 250 kms of piste is this area, and the snow reliability has been improved in recent years with over 50% of the slopes now enhanced by snow canons.

The family run Hotel Eggelwert has an excellent reputation for good food and accommodation, and is in an ideal spot near the centre of Soll. The nightlife Soll has to offer caters for all tastes, from the lively Whiskey Muhle which has regular live bands and stays open until the early hours of the morning, to the quieter bars and cafes which can also be visited during your evening stroll, all of which are within easy walking distance of the Eggelwert.

From a skiers point of view this area has something for every ability. Soll is a super place to learn to ski on its nearby nursery slopes, and its ski school also has an excellent reputation. For the Intermediate skier and above Soll Ski Liftthe skiing has endless possibilities, as it is possible to find some of Austrias famous resorts such as Westendorf, Ellmau, Hoffgarten, and of course Kitsbuhl (and its daunting Hannenkahn run!) all within surprisingly close proximity.

The price based on 2 people sharing is £519, and includes flights from many regional airports including Leeds/Bradford, all Austrian transfers, and half board en suite accommodation in the Hotel Eggelwert. The return is on Saturday 21st March 2009.
