The brief was simple - Get rid of the crowds after the New Year celebrations, and find a good hotel with access to loads of great skiing. And in the wonderful 4 star Hotel Bes we know that that the Hotel will certainly come up to expectations and we are pretty sure that the 400kms of piste that the Milky Way ski area has to offer will tick all the right boxes as well.

The Hotel Bes is situated in the pretty Italian village of Claviere, which is just a mile over from the French border and the town of Montegenvre. The Bes was completely renovated in 2006, and is a very smart hotel with up to the minute Spa facilities. This hotel has a wonderful restaurant for our breakfast and evening meals, and has the reputation for catering for your every need. It even has the extravagance of a genuine Picasso in the hotel lobby!

With the hotel centrally situated in Claviere, access to the slopes could not be easier, and its position in the Milky Way system could not be better. It’s quite simple, turn right and a quick pop over the border into France takes you to the beautiful Montgenvre ski area, or turn left at the top and you can ski all the way to Sauze D’Oux through many smaller Italian ski resorts too numerous to mention. Make no mistake this is an intermediate skiers paradise with different ares to ski and see during our week here.

The discounted price of this holiday is £584 per adult to Hotel Bes, and includes flights from many regional airports leaving on the 18th January, private coach transfers and half board en suite accommodation in the Hotel Bes. The child price (11 and under) is £484. Ski hire here is £59, and a lessons package will cost £80. The return is on Saturday 25th January.
